Why would the advertising campaigns be paused during recruitment?

Throughout the recruitment process, our team may recommend temporarily pausing advertising campaigns due to potential concerns that could arise (some of which are listed below).

This proactive measure is taken to enhance the efficiency of participant recruitment for your study, with the objective of achieving the desired enrollment goals and minimizing wasting time on ineligible referrals.

There are various reasons why a campaign may be temporarily paused. Here are a few examples:

  • Updating phone screener availability in the appointment system.
  • A high influx of referrals, leading to fully booked appointment times.
  • Fine-tuning and improving the questionnaire.
  • Low pass rate or contact rate during phone screening, necessitating strategies to improve the rates.
  • Insufficient outcome data provided, hindering a comprehensive understanding of the recruitment status and optimization strategies.

We aim to minimize disruption by typically pausing campaigns for no longer than 24-48 hours and we will promptly inform you of such actions. In certain cases, however, extended pausing may be required to address collaborative updates or obtain IRB re-approval.

We recognize the importance of meeting tight recruitment timelines and therefore prioritize the timely resolution of any issues to minimize slowing down any recruitment efforts.

By employing these proactive measures, we aim to ensure that recruitment for your study progresses smoothly and efficiently, maximizing the potential for successful participant enrollment.
