What Is the Process for Receiving and Contacting Patient Referrals?

FOR STUDIES THAT UTILIZE THE PHONE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM

Each time a referral passes online prescreening, you will:

(1) instantly receive an email that contains their phone screen appointment time, contact information and answers to the questionnaire.

(2) see the Google calendar updated with their chosen phone screen appointment time, and

(3) see the prescreen referrals spreadsheet update in real-time.

FOR STUDIES THAT DO NOT UTILIZE THE PHONE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM

Each time a referral passes online prescreening, you will:

(1) instantly receive an email that contains their information and their answers to the questionnaire, and

(2) see the prescreen referrals spreadsheet updated with the same information in real-time.

It’s imperative to contact each patient at their chosen phone screen appointment time or as soon as you receive the email notification because it will result in a much higher contact and enrollment rate and requires a lot less contact attempts. We make it extremely clear to each patient that they will be called at their chosen appointment time (with reminder emails and text messages) or as soon as possible, and failure to do so will provide a very bad impression of the study.
